Our team of friendly counsellors are fully qualified, experienced, registered with a professional regulatory body & insured. They will make it their priority to put you at ease & will offer you impartial guidance on the best way forward. You can be sure that when you choose The Clearing you will always be in good hands.

Successful therapy hinges on a good relationship between you & your counsellor & this is always our focus. We will work with you as a person, not a diagnosis, getting to know you & your story & shaping your therapy accordingly.

We offer late evening & weekend appointments to fit around your schedule. When it comes to booking your half price consultation, we can usually find a convenient appointment for you within just a few days.

The Clearing, South Tyneside

Our South Tyneside clinic can be found on a quiet street in South Shields. Here person centred therapist and our bereavement expert, Joanne will welcome you to her light & spacious consulting room.

Joanne offers face to face sessions here on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Dr Rhian J Lewis is offering in person sessions from her clinic in rural County Durham. Just 25 minutes outside of Durham city centre, The Clearing, County Durham is nestled between rolling green fields and moorland. Make a self-care day of it & bookend your session with a walk along the Waskerley Way – an area of outstanding beauty & tranquility that is sure to ground & rejuvenate you.

Dr Rhian is available for face to face sessions Tuesday to Thursday.
